An Open Letter to Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor & Principal Secretary Horticulture.
The key points of letter reads as,
Srinagar 20 Feb 2021:
Your Majesty, we would like to draw your kind attention towards our deepest concerns, which have enveloped us:
1. We have done basic horticulture training from SKUAST of Kashmir and Jammu. With the clear Gazette job rule that this training will give us eligibility to a low grade post horticulture Technician IV, which is a Class-IV post.
2. These horticulture related protesters from Skuast Kashmir are degree holders and are eligible for gazetted rank posts according to their level of qualifications in the Department of Horticulture like HDO, Senior Technician, Canning Inspector, etc. Had it not been the case they could make demands for other posts like this, unfortunately despite having so many options they are trying to hurdle in the recruitment process which was meant to be for us.
3. We also have higher qualifications like graduation and postgraduation but only BHT qualifies us for this post-tech-iv. At the time of the entrance test conducted by SKUAST Kashmir and Jammu, the opportunity was for everyone but they chose their degrees and we decided to go for this opportunity and now we have only this post for which we can apply, and they have all other posts in the department.
4. It is not only the Department of Horticulture which has diploma based posts but also all other departments of UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
Therefore, We humbly request the Honorable Lieutenant Governor and esteemed Principal Secretary to save our future as we gave up the dream of going for higher education for this and somebody who went for higher education to achieve their aims are now trying to take this opportunity also and hence destroy our dreams as well as our career. We have no option left now other than Tech-iv posts.
