Subject: Commencement of Offline Classes Instead of Online

The Honourable LG of UT of Jammu & Kashmir
The Commissioner Higher Education Department

To maintain the flow of education amid the Noval Covid 19, our Universities have
focused on online mode of classwork and have given it due importance. Whereas, the Student community have started boycotting the online mode of classwork, and are demanding the offline mode of classwork henceforth. Having given the online classes in earlier semester we are having a really bad experience with the same. There are multiple issues with online classes which include;
1. Poor Connectivity or low internet speed make classes vulnerable.
2. Mismanagement of time.
3. Unscheduled Classes: Sometimes classes are scheduled at unfeasible timings.
4. Privacy concerns with some apps, particularly The Zoom App.
5. Problems with doubt solving as it lacks face to face interaction.
6. Low Audio-visual quality.
Furthermore, our degree has lost its sheen & credibility due to online classes as
it lacks exposure and our moral is so down. Our minds have rusted as we have not been to the Universities post Aug 5 (Article 370 Abrogation).
Whereas, public places parks restaurants & playgrounds are thrown open for
general public, where People don’t even follow proper SOP’s thereof, what is stopping the Administration to open the universities if proper SOP’s are followed and social distancing is maintained in the classrooms?
Keeping the above mentioned reasons in mind, we the students are terribly hit by the mental trauma. As we are unable to cope up with the pace of online classes, we request your good self to arrange OFFLINE CLASSES for us which will serve us better.
Thanking You in Anticipation.
(PG Students of KU & CUS)
