CBSE board exams for class 10, 12 to be conducted in Jan-Feb 2021
Clearing the air in regards to the schedule of class X and XII exams, the board secretary Anurag Tripathi on Sunday shared that the practical exams will be held between January 1 to February 8, 2021. Furthermore, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board secretary Anurag Tripathi stated that the exact dates for the exams will be announced soon.
Earlier on November 20, while speaking during a webinar on New Education Policy (NEP), Tripathi had asserted that the CBSE is making plans and will soon reveal how it will do test assessments and also later confirmed that there is no escaping board exams.
The board, however, has not yet released the format of the exams to be conducted in 2021. According to sources, the CBSE has already started preparing for the 10th and 12th board exams and issued SOPs for conducting the practical exams.
The practical exam and project evaluation work will be conducted in the respective schools and different dates will be sent to schools for practical examinations, stated the guidelines.
It also stated the examination will have both internal and external examiners and an observer will be appointed to supervise the practical exam, project evaluation. The respective schools need to upload marks on the link provided by the board, once the assessment is done.
As per reports, the Maharashtra board has decided to postpone the 2021 Board Exams till May.
