JKSSB Waiting List Aspirants Write to LG Govt for One-Time Exemption in Waiting List Rules for Vacancies Arising from Resignations
The Letter reads as,
"Subject of Message : Request for One-Time Exemption in Waiting List Rules for Vacancies Arising from Mass Resignations

Ref: JE (R&B), JE (Jal Shakti), Finance Accounts Assistant, JKPSI, VLW, Stock Assistant, Finance Inspector, etc. departments of Jammu and Kashmir.

Respected Sir,

We hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. We write to draw your kind attention to an urgent issue concerning the substantial vacancies resulting from mass resignations across several departments, including JE (R&B), JE (Jal Shakti), Finance Accounts Assistant, JKPSI, VLW, Stock Assistant, and others within Jammu and Kashmir.

The problem has been compounded by recent recruitment drives for Assistant Engineer (AE) and Junior Engineer (JE) positions, leading many selected JEs to resign in favor of AE roles. Similarly, many Financial Accounts Assistants (FAA) may resign from Panchayat Secretary and Stock Assistant positions, and new recruits for Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub-Inspectors (JKPSI) are leaving vacancies behind. These resignations, often occurring shortly after joining, reflect candidates' preference for higher-level posts.

Delays in court proceedings over the past three years have further exacerbated the backlog of vacancies. Recent recruitment cycles in February and March 2024 have intensified this issue, with many transitioning from JE, AE, FAA, VLW, Stock Assistant, JKPSI, and other roles, leading to a significant number of unfilled positions.

Importantly, current regulations do not automatically activate the waiting list to fill vacancies caused by mass resignations. However, states like Haryana, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh have successfully implemented exemptions to address such issues, optimizing resource allocation and preventing seat wastage.

Your recent decision to revive the waiting list is commendable. We respectfully request a one-time special exemption in the waiting list regulations for vacancies caused by resignations in JE, FAA, JKPSI, VLW, Stock Assistant, and other positions. This exemption is crucial for optimizing resource utilization and ensuring deserving candidates do not miss out on opportunities due to the current situation.

We sincerely appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your favorable response.

Warm regards.

JKSSB Aspirants"
