JKBOPEE - Admission to B. Pharmacy Courses-2023 in Government / Private Institutions of UT  of J&K: Inviting of Online Application Forms thereof

Online Applications are invited from the desirous candidates from UT of J&K/Ladakh for admission to B. Pharmacy Course - 2023 in Govt. / Pvt. Institutions of UT of J&K. The selection of the candidates shall be governed by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002, the Rules and Regulations there under, JK Reservation Act, 2004 as amended vide J&K Reorganization Act, 2019, S.O 69 dated 28-02-2020, S.O 127 dated 20-04-2020, O.M. dated: - 09-05-2020, and S.O. 249 dated 23-06-2021, subject to further amendments, if any, made by the Competent Authority from time to time.

Eligibility:

a) B. Pharma Course:
Candidate(s) applying for this course shall be eligible, if he/she:
i. is Domicile of UT of J&K/Ladakh.
ii. shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central 
government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology as optional subjects individually. 

“However, the students possessing 10+2 qualification from non-formal and non-class rooms based schooling such as National Institute of Open Schooling, open school systems of States etc. shall not be eligible for admission to B. Pharm Course.”

iii. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.

Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.

Provided that there shall be reservation of seats for the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government / State Government / Union Territory Administration as the case may be from time to time.

b) B. Pharma (Lateral Entry)
Candidate applying for above course shall be eligible, if he/she has passed D. Pharma Course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

Submission of Application Forms:-
The Online Application Forms can be filled / submitted by the eligible candidates w.e.f. 06.06.2023 to 26.06.2023 (midnight) either through the link https://jkbopeeadmissions.examinationsolutions.in available on BOPEE website
www.jkbopee.gov.in or separately through the links https://jkbopeebpharma.examinationsolutions.in (Candidates applying for B. Pharma Course) & https://jkbopeelebpharma.examinationsolutions.in (Candidates applying for B. Pharma Lateral Entry Course). After submission of the online application forms through the above available links, the candidates are advised to visit BOPEE office Physically either at Jammu or Srinagar & submit hard copy of the application form along with photocopies of the following documents for verification purposes by the Board and shall deposit fee of Rs. 1500/(to be paid either through POS Machine available at BOPEE office Jammu/Srinagar through Debit/Credit cards w.e.f. 06-06-2023 to 26-06-2023 upto 04.00 P.M. (during working days only):

i. Domicile certificate of UT of J&K/Ladakh as the case may be. For Candidates of UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile Certificate.

ii. Marks Card of Qualifying Examination (10+2).

iii. Marks Card of D. Pharma Course (For candidates applying for B. Pharma Lateral Entry only)

iv. Date of Birth (10th Marks card/Diploma) issued by the Board,

v. Category certificate, if any,

However, it is hereby notified that afore-titled documents as required for submission of application form shall be considered provisional and subject to such change(s), if any, made by the Government/ BOPEE subsequently.

Further, the candidate(s) whose result of class 10+2 examination has not yet been declared by the concerned Board(s), he / she can also apply subject to the condition that such candidate(s) shall have to submit his / her 12th Class Marks Card, before the respective allotted college in case such a candidate is provisionally selected for admission, otherwise the candidature of such candidate(s) shall be deemed to have been cancelled abinitio on his/her own risk and responsibility.

Note-1:
a. The eligibility is bare minimum/provisional and shall be subject to such changes/bench marks as may be fixed by the concerned University/Authority. The Board shall on receipt of any such communication from the concerned notify the same for information of the concerned candidates.

b. The information in the application form of the candidate shall not be construed as an acceptance of that information/category certificate by the BOPEE. Therefore, if at any stage, it is found that the candidate has provided false or incorrect information in respect of
any eligibility condition, his/her candidature shall be cancelled without any further notice.

c. The Sports Category candidates have to indicate their sports category on the Application Form. They are also advised to submit their Sports Certificate(s) as and when notified by the Secretary, J&K Sports council for determining their sports points which shall be forwarded to the J&K BOPEE officially by the council. The BOPEE, however, shall not be responsible for non-inclusion of any candidate in the sports list forwarded by the Sports Council to the BOPEE.

d. The category seats shall be allotted in Govt. Institutions only.

Syllabus for Entrance Test (if conducted by the Board): -

i. The Entrance Test, if conducted by the Board, shall be through offline mode and shall be conducted at both Jammu and Srinagar Test Centres, as per the choice filled by the candidate on his/her own during submission of Online Application Form.

ii. All questions shall be set from the syllabus of 11th and 12th classes as prescribed by the J&K BOSE /CBSE.

iii. Examination shall be consisting of Single Paper with three sections comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics with 120 questions (40 questions from each section) with time duration of 02 hours. The questions shall be multiple choice objective types with one mark each. There will be 0.25 negative marks for each wrong answer.

iv. Each candidate has to choose either PCM or PCB option for Entrance Examination while filling up the online application form, which cannot be changed by the Board at any cost later on.

v. The date of Entrance Test shall be notified separately, if the Board conduct the Entrance Test.

Mode of Selection/Admission: -

The Board shall conduct the Entrance Test for Admission to this course subject to the condition that in case it receives the application forms three to four times higher than the number of sanctioned seats, otherwise these seats shall be filled strictly on the basis of merit secured by the candidate(s) in the qualifying examination i.e. in 10+2 Class.

a) In case two or more candidates having same score in 12th class, then their tie shall be resolved by considering the following: -

i. marks obtained by the Candidates in Chemistry, followed by ii. marks obtained by the Candidates in Physics, if the marks in Chemistry are same.

iii. the D.O.B of Candidates i.e. candidate older in age shall be taken into consideration, in case there is tie in marks of Chemistry & Physics,

iv. in case of further tie, the first alphabet of candidate(s) name shall be considered.

b) In case the Board Conducts Entrance Test, then the tie shall be resolved by considering the following:

i. Total marks obtained by the Candidates in the Entrance Test, followed by, marks obtained by the Candidates in Chemistry, during the Entrance Test. In case total marks obtained & marks obtained in Chemistry by candidates in the Entrance Test are same, then tie will be resolved by taking into account of marks obtained by the Candidates in Physics, during the Entrance Test. For further tie it will be resolved by considering the D.O.B of Candidates i.e. candidate older in age shall be taken into consideration first,

ii. in case of further tie, the first alphabet of candidate(s) name shall be considered.

Tentative Intake capacity of Institutions for B-Pharma Course-2023

1. University of Kashmir 33 seats
(including 08 self-financing seats)

2. Prabha Harjilal College of Pharmacy & Preclinical Sciences Madr-e-Meharban Campus of Health Sciences Jammu 60 seats

3. DRD College of Pharmacy, Kathua 100 seats

4. SVS Paramedical College Sunderbani 60 seats

5. JSS College of Pharmacy, Najwal, Vijaypur Distt. Samba 60 seats

i) The above intake is purely tentative and shall likely to be changed at the time of counselling.

ii) The seats shall be filled up by the Board subject to issuance of letters of Affiliation by the concerned Universities for session 2023-24.

Note-2: -
a. In case, the Competent Authority notifies inclusion of any new College/Institution for running the B. Pharmacy course in the UT of J&K/Ladakh, the seats of said College/Institution shall be included in the counselling process during subsequent rounds of counselling.

b. The selection of the candidates shall be made through counselling process on the basis of merit cum preferences.

c. Mere filling of Application Form shall not confer any right on the Candidates for admission to these courses.

d. The Board has the right to reject any application form of any candidate at any stage, if it is found that any false information has been submitted by the candidate, without issuing any notice to such candidates.

e. In case Board Conducts Entrance Examination, then all the candidates have to mention in the application form that he/she shall attempt Question Paper either of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry & Biology.

Note-3: -
i. The seats under Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) shall be filled up by the Board after completion of first / second round of admission, as may be decided by the Board. The candidates who want to get benefit of seat under (TFW) category, are advised to keep their TFW certificate ready before the last date for filling up of application forms as fixed by the Board and shall have to produce physically the same on the day of counseling as and when notified by the Board.

ii) The supernumerary (10%) of total intake i.e. 6 seats under Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) shall be filled as per S.O. 69 dated 28.02.2020 and O.M. dated 09.05.2020, S.O. 249 dated 23.06.2021, issued by J&K Social Welfare Department “provided that the benefit of reservation under this clause shall be available only in respect of those institutions, where the intake capacity of seats has been increased by the Competent Authority from time to time for the said purpose”

iii) The TFW seats in this course shall be allotted to those eligible candidates only whose annual income of the family from all sources is less than Rs. 4.50 lacs or likely to change as and when notified by the UT Government of J&K.

iv) The category seats shall be allotted in Govt. Institutions only.

v) Mere submission of the Application Form and appearance of the aspiring candidate in the Entrance Test shall not confer any preferential right / claim for admission upon the intending applicants, but shall be subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria and the qualification prescribed for the said courses.
