Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has postponed the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2022 to July. As per the notification, the Preliminary exam will now be conducted on July 31st, 2022.
JKPSC 2022 Exam Pattern
Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission conducts various competitive examinations for direct recruitment in Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services, Police services, and Accounts services. The exam for the recruitments in various civil services under Jammu and Kashmir public service commission is conducted in three basic stages – Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Interview. Candidates must clear all three stages of the JKPSC examination to qualify for the paper. Below is the JKPSC exam pattern 2022 for each stage:
JKPSC 2022 Stage-1: Prelims (Objective Type) Exam Pattern
The first stage of the JKPSC exam is the Preliminary examination. A candidate has to appear for the objective test in order to clear the JKPSC exam. Check the highlights of the JKPSC Prelims Exam Pattern as follows:
- The preliminary examination consists of two papers – Paper-1 and Paper-2; both are objective in nature.
- The type of questions is Multiple Choice questions.
- The question paper of the Preliminary examination consists of 450 marks in all.
- This test is qualifying in nature. The marks obtained in the Preliminary examination are not counted in merit. It is just a screening test.
- The language of the question paper is English.
- Each paper will be for 2 hours only.
- There is no provision of negative marking in the Preliminary exam.
