Applications on the prescribed format are invited for 1 (one) post of Research Investigator in Population Research Centre, University of Kashmir, Srinagar-190 006 (J&K.). The details of post, emoluments, qualification and experience are as under:

Important:
a) The post is temporary and is likely to continue with continuation of the Population Research Centre (PRC) scheme.

General Instructions and Terms and Conditions:
a) The age of candidates as on 01.01.2021 should be:
a. Not below 18 years; and
b. Not above:
i. 40 years in case of Open Merit.
ii. 42 years in case of Physically Challenged candidates.
iii. 40 years in case of candidates in Government Service/Contractual
employees.
iv. 48 years in case of Ex-Servicemen.
b) In addition to Pay Band/ Pay Level, D.A. Medical Allowance, House Rent and other allowances as admissible to the staff of the Population Research Centre is payable to the appointees.
c) The appointee is not entitled to GP fund/pension, however, Contributory Provident
Fund/NPS/gratuity and leave encashment will be applicable to the appointee as permissible under rules/ guidelines of the Ministry.
d) Terms and conditions of appointment of the candidates shall be governed by the provisions of the Kashmir & Jammu Universities Act, 1969, and Statutes & Regulations made there under from time to time, and the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, wherever applicable.
e) The University reserves the right not to fill up the post advertised, if circumstances so
warrant, without assigning any reason thereof.
f) No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for appearing in the interview.
g) Only those candidates should apply for the posts, who fulfill the eligibility criteria on or
before the last date of receipt of applications.
h) Applications received late or not in proper format or incomplete in any respect shall not
be entertained.
i) Applications by Government servants should be sent through the Administrative Authority concerned. Applications not routed through the respective channels are liable
to be rejected.
j) Canvassing in any form by or on behalf of the candidate will be a disqualification.
k) Impersonation or submission of false/fabricated/tampered documents or making
incorrect/false statements by a candidate, will, render him/her liable for criminal prosecution.
l) All enclosures attached with the Application Form should be self attested and the
candidates shall have to produce the original documents relating to their age, qualifications, experience, fitness and other claims whatsoever at the time of interview.
m) The candidates are advised to write their name strictly as per Matriculation/Higher
Secondary Certificates.
n) The interview call letter/s shall be sent through E-mail/SMS on the e.mail address and
mobile number mentioned in the respective application form/s.
o) The University shall verify the antecedents of all documents of the candidates submitted
at any time of appointment or during the tenure of service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted are fake or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents/background
and has suppressed the said information, his/her services shall be terminated forthwith and the action shall be taken as warranted under rules.
p) Addendum/ corrigendum, if issued, to this advertisement shall be uploaded on the
university/PRC website only.
q) Candidates are advised to regularly check University/PRC website for latest updates/
important instructions, released by the university from time to time. No separate
intimation in this regard shall be given.
