SCHOLARSHIP NOTIFICATION | National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS)- Inviting applications from Class-VIII (8th) Students
It is notified for information of all candidates that Ministry of Education (MoE), New Delhi through the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education is going to conduct National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) Examination 2020-21 on 30h January 2021 (Saturday) for students who have appeared in class 8h Annual Examination during the session October- November 2020 in Kashmir Division/winter Zones areas of Jammu Division, Ladakh and are going to appear in Annual Examination in March-2021 in Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division.
Other Eligibility Criteria:
1. The student must be studying in Government Schools.
2. The student must have minimum of 55% marks in class VIl (5% relaxation for SC, ST & OBC students).
3. The overall family income should not exceed 1.5 Lakh per annum.
4. The student must continue his/her studies in Government School up to Class 12.
Scholarship: 1091 scholarships will be awarded and the amount shall be 12000/ per annum per student i.e. Total amount 48000/- for each selected student from class 9 to 12.
Examination: NMMS Examination will comprise of two papers viz:
Paper I: Mental Ability Test
Paper II: Scholastic Aptitude Test
The application form in prescribed proforma and other detailed information about the Scholarship Scheme can be had from JKBOSE website www.jkbose.ac.in.
The application forms duly attested by the Head of the Institution and accompanied with the requisite documents (Marks card, Income Certificate and Reserved category certificate, if any) along with pay in slip of Rs.60, favouring Liaison Officer, NTSENMMSS, to be deposited in J&k Bank A/C No.0547010100000002, Branch JKBOSE Bemina, Srinagar, IFSC Code JAKAOEXAMBR, must reach the Office of concerned Chief Education Officer (Designated District Nodal Officer, NMMS Scheme) by or before 26th December,2020 (Saturday) who will prepare the database of the candidates in the prescribed excel format and submit the Application Forms along with requisite documents and data base of their respective Districts to CDR Wing of JKBOSE at New Campus, Bemina, Srinagar/Rehari Colony, Jammu-Tawi /Sub/branch Offices of JKBOSE by or before 2nd January 2021 (Saturday).
