CLUSTER UNIVERSITY ABOUT TO HOLD OFFLINE EXAMINATION, STUDENTS EXPRESSING RESENTMENT
As the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) cases are surging in the Valley, students of cluster university are directed by University authorities to appear in Offline examination.
However, students from the different semesters who are enrolled under Cluster University are up in arms against this move.
They said that already many students were covid 19, positive how can they sit in the examination.
Alleging that the students have to come out from the different areas of cities and villages. There is no doubt that University management will provide combative gear inside the examination centers. But, will they take any responsibility if students get infected in the passenger buses and vehicles? they questioned.
However, when The Kashmiriyat contacted the Controller examination of Cluster University Srinagar, he told that already examination has already been held at National level. So we are going to conduct the offline mode too.
When asked about the spread of Covid infection, he said that college management is fully prepared to combat with the virus.
Rubeena akhtar (name changed) from semester 5th a student under cluster university said that its quite difficult for us to sit in offline examination mode, we received online classes, so why should we appear in offline examination mode? She alleged.
She termed online examination is safe as compared to holding offline exams.
“We don’t have to fear or anything else to sit in offline exams, but due pandemic it’s risky and we don’t don’t know who is positive and who Negative, ” she added.
Nisar Ahmad (name withheld) a student from the 5th semester, said that already some students were under quarantine.
“We don’t want to put ourselves at risk, we approached the principal of our college but his behaviour was irrational towards us. We also wrote a letter to him but so far, nothing has been done,” he said.
The principal of Amar singh college told the kashmiriyat that all arrangements related to covid 19, are in place already. He further said that they are going to hold offline exams shift wise.
“Moreover, we have already deployed our manpower on entering gates who can check up a fever, temperature and related symptoms of Coronavirus,” he said.
Now we have to live with it, here in our college UPSC and Central University examination were also held, we will hold it too, ” he added.
