SUBJECT:- Release of Provisional Merit List of the Candidates for Common Entrance Test(Engg.) Course-2020.
It is notified for information of all concerned that the online application forms were invited from the eligible candidates for admission to Common Entrance Test(Engg.) Courses in the Government/Private run institutions of the Union Territory of J&K/Ladakh.
However, In view of COVID-19 pandemic, the Board vide above referred notification/notices has afforded reasonable opportunity to the candidates for filling up of the forms and removal of deficiencies, if any.
Now the Board is at its final stage of the admission process to the aforesaid courses based on online submission of application forms/ submitting of deficiencies of the requisite documents and accordingly a Provisional merit list has been prepared of the eligible candidates and is annexed as Annexure 'A' to this Notification, which shall be available on the BOPEE website www.jkbopee.gov.in only, with an intent to place the same in the public domain to call for further objections/pending documents, if any, so that the process of admission for filling up of the seats is completed in a time bound manner.
1. The objections, if any, raised by the candidates, enlisted in the provisional merit list, can be submitted personally at the Board office Jammu/Srinagar during working days till 18th of September, 2020 up to 4.00 P.M. failing which no claims shall be entertained by the Board whatsoever may be the reasons thereof.
2. Objections /documents shall not be accepted through e-mail.
3. Keeping in view lesser number of competing candidates to opt for the Engineering courses (Common Entrance Test), the Board has decided that there will be no written test due to prevailing circumstances and the merit list of the candidates has been prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) in the qualifying examination of (12thstandard).
In case two or more candidates have obtained the same number of marks in aggregate of PCM marks in 12th class, the inter-se-merit of such candidates shall be determined by taking into account the following:
a. firstly by, marks obtained in Mathematics component of the 12th class;
b. secondly by, marks obtained in Physics component of the 12th class, if marks obtained in Mathematics component are equal;
c. thirdly by, marks obtained in Chemistry component of the 12th class, if marks obtained in Mathematics and Physics components are equal;
d. lastly the Candidate(s) older in age if marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are same/ identical.
4. The Board has already mentioned in the Notice No. 041-BOPEE of 2020 dated 15-072020 read with Notice No. 045-BOPEE of 2020 dated 14-08-2020, that the admission / allotment of seats shall be made on the basis of S.O. 127 dated 20-04-2020.
i) As such the candidates who have applied under Sports category, their category shall be finally considered once Board receives the sports rank from Secretary J&K sports Council before counseling schedule.
5. Since selections are made on the basis of S.O-127 dated.20.04.2020 and those candidates belonging to categories of Pahari speaking (PSP) and Residents of International Border (IB) included under the said S.O can prefer their claims at the time of counseling as and when notified by the Board, subject to production of relevant Category certificates i.e. PSP, IB etc. issued by Competent Authority.
6. The intending candidates shall keep ready their domicile certificates issued by the competent authority along with all other original documents at the time of counseling.
7. The candidates must remain in touch with the official website of the Board so as to be abreast of the final schedule of the counseling which shall be notified separately/shortly after the weeding out of objections/documents, if any, received from intending candidates mentioned in the Provisional Merit List to be uploaded on the official web site of the Board www.jkbopee.gov.in.
8. It is also very important to kept in mind that in case no objections are received within the cutoff date by the Board, the Provisional Merit List shall be deemed to be treated as final.
9. the candidates, who have not deposited their relevant category certificates/deficient documents at the Board offices Jammu/Srinagar are hereby again advised to deposit the same physically upto 18-09-2020(04.00 p.m.) failing which they shall be treated as OM Category candidates on their own risk and responsibility as already mentioned in the preceding paras without further notice.
Note: M.C. stands for Marks Card of 12th class against the name of the candidates shown in the Provisional Merit List annexed to this Notification.
