Three militants, ASI Killed in Pantha Chowk, Encounter Over
Srinagar, August 30 (GNS): Three militants and ASI of J&K police were killed in an encounter at Panthachowk in outskirts of Srinagar district, bringing the total number to 153 militants so far killed in this year. This number bypassed the number 152 of militants killed in previous year 152.
A senior Police officer told GNS that three militants have been killed in this encounter, however identity of the militants is yet to be ascertained.
He further said that the ASI Babu Ram who was earlier critically injured succumbed to his injuries in 92 Base hospital.
Earlier three bike-borne militants had attacked a joint team of police and CRPF near Panthachowk in which no damage was done, they said. (GNS)
